12/11/25 Falcons 3-1 Nottingham 5s
Goals: Ebo, Max, Tristan
Assist: Brandon, JT
MOTM: Tom Craddock
DOTD: Tristan
The Falcs set up for an afternoon game under the floodlights against a team we narrowly lost to last week. From the pothole ridden pitch we were faced with last week, we now had the advantage of the brand new Grange Rd carpet- the rematch was on.
The boys started strong and it was clear the falcs would get a lot more joy out this playing surface.
The first half saw many chances and a good defensive showing with Craddock batting away an impressive amount of Nottingham’s galactic long balls. With many through balls and Ebo sending a free kick through the rugby posts for a conversion, we knew the game was going to be full of chances but went into half-time posted at 0-0.
After the break we came out firing, with JT and Max running rings around the Nottingham pivot. A fantastic ball from Brandon was tucked away at the back post by Ebo to give us our first goal. Soon after, a corner from JT, helped on by ghost hands from the keeper, was headed in by max to make it 2-0. It seemed like it was gonna be smooth sailing from here.
Unfortunately, Tristan thought this was too boring and wanted to spice things up a bit. Just to make it interesting, he headed in a Nottingham ball past Durani to make it 2-1.
The boys fought well after this and with some gritted teeth and saves from Durani, we made it through most of the second half. With a few minutes to go Tristan redeemed himself, dribbling past 3 and slotting it away to make it 3-1, ending the day with two great finishes.
A well earned win for the falcs and a successful redemption story ended a great day for football.
